1968 Uncut Robert Crumb Cover of Zap Comix - Issue #1

This is a guaranteed original misprinted cover from 1968 acquired from the print shop of Don Donahue, the orginal publisher of ZAP Comix.

The comic book is rare itself. This cover was unused because of what Don described as "black ink scum" on the upper right edge of the image.

Only the second printing of Zap #1 says "PRINTED BY DON DONAHUE" on the back cover just like this one does. The comic by itself sells for $500 and upward.

Each original cover purchased comes with a copy of this written note hand printed by Don Donuhue describing what this item is.
